Kimi Raikkonen’s 2000 Tatuus Formula Renault and Seasick Steve’s Volkswagen Splitscreen Camper to be sold at Coys’ 10 January sale at the NEC
Formula 1 World Champion, and current Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen’s 2000 Tatuus Formula Renault is going under the hammer will be at the Coys auction on Saturday 10 January at the Autosport International show at the NEC.
Run by Manor Motorsport in 2000, the Tatuus Formula Renault contested the British Formula Renault Championship, giving the Ice Man his first shot at the title, winning the Championship in this car during the same year. Offered at no reserve, the car was rebuilt in 2005, with the original engine, gearbox and monocoque.
Fans of the American Blues artist Seasick Steve should be interested to see his 1967 Volkswagen Splitscreen camper van also coming up for sale. The camper has been upgraded mechanically with a 1598cc flat-four engine running a twin-carb set-up. The camper will also be offered with no reserve.
Other cars to watch include an ex-Works Honda BTCC car, built for Honda by Prodrive, for £80,000 to £100,000, and an immaculate Moonstone Silver Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 for £45,000 to £55,000.
