Manufactured on the same production line as its Elise cousin, Vauxhalls roadster never enjoyed the same cachet as the Lotus. Yet not only is the VX220 more usable, but it is also just as great to drive. It is more affordable, too. The VX220 first went on sale in the UK in 2000 and was introduced at around the same time as the Elise S1 was being replaced by the S2. Fitted with a 145bhp version of Vauxhalls 2198cc Ecotec four-cylinder engine, its characteristics are quite different to those of the 1.8-litre K-Series fitted to the Elise but the Turbo is something else. It came with tweaked suspension to help it stay the right side up, and the ability to sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.9 seconds. This example comes in Grey with Red/Black Leather Interior, Lots of bills and previous MOT's, and a list of extras which include: 17" 5 spoke alloy wheels, Remote control alarm, Leather seats, Turbo Badging and Sports Seats with adjustable lumbar support.
