1969-1971 TVR Tuscan V6, V8 and V8 SE specifications

1969-1971 TVR Tuscan V6, V8 and V8 SE specifications Classic and Performance Car

The original V8 Tuscan was a bit of an animal, while the V6 pathed the way for a new breed of more muscular 1970s TVRs

Here’s a car that is finally gaining the respect and collector interest that it always should have received, especially with such low build numbers. If the Tuscan looks rather like the Vixen, that’s because in effect it is one, but fitted with a selection of US Ford V8s (like the Griffith), and with two body widths – although the UK only saw two wide-bodied Tuscan V8s. The Capri-engined V6 Tuscan was a precursor for the mainstream TVR range of the 1970s. Quality was vastly improved over early cars, but can be hard to find these days. Worth the effort.
