1957-1967 TVR Grantura I-1800S specifications

Trevor Wilkinson’s company started out like so many other sports car manufacturers in the UK – marrying lightweight special bodies with tried-and- tested mechanicals to produce affordable kit cars that could be enjoyed by many. What set TVR apart, though, was its staying power, and most of that was down to the appeal of early models like the Grantura, and the sheer number of permutations you could buy it in – with engines ranging from the 1172cc Ford Popular engine to the 1798cc twin carburettor MGB engine, there was bound to be a TVR for you.
