1966-1968 TRIUMPH Vitesse 2-Litre MkI specifications

1966-1968 TRIUMPH Vitesse 2-Litre MkI specifications Classic and Performance Car

The whole world loves a small car with more power than is strictly good for it, and that pretty well sums up why a Vitesse costs so much more than a Herald. Though the Vitesse is much more of success now than when it was new and outsold by the Herald by nearly ten-to-one. The 2-litre was an inevitable development of the 1600, as the larger engine was already in use in other Triumphs. As well as taller gearing and wider wheels, the 2-litre was also treated to larger front brake discs. The suspension was left unchanged, and that power can overstretch its abilities.
