Interested in this vehicle? Please email us at info@auto-invest.co.uk or contact us directly by telephone on 01363 83909 The Pre-war Triumph Register estimate that from a total production of some 117 of this model, just 11 are known to survive with their original bodywork making this car an extremely rare item. It is a totally original example which would appear never to have been restored previously and is estimated to have been off the road for at least 50 years. Still fitted with its original 1232cc Coventry Climax engine and 'freewheel' gearbox, this rare 76 year old was registered new in Devon and there it has stayed apart from a brief 3 year interlude in South Wales. The original Exeter registration number BFJ 54 remains with the car and it is fitted with an original (presumably from new) Weathershield period sunroof. It requires full restoration- mechanicals/body/paint/interior trim. However, everything is there and has not been 'improved' by anyone in the past. The aluminium panels which form the entire upper part of the bodyshell have been stripped of paint and are in a good state of preservation whilst the chassis appears sound with only surface rust visible.
