1967-1970 TOYOTA 2000GT specifications

Thanks to its drop-dead good looks and a guest appearance in You Only Love Twice, the 2000GT put Toyota on the world map. Produced in a joint venture with Yamaha, the gorgeous 2000GT was offered to Toyota when Yamaha failed to excite Nissan into producing the car – and a mere 337 were built between 1967 and 1970. And that’s a shame given its fantastic technical specification, which boasted a jewel-like twin-cam straight six that pumped out 150bhp to give a 135mph maximum speed. Revered as an absolute classic, and one of Japan’s finest ever.
