1967 Austin A35 Van. Spruce Green with black upholstery with white piping. This A35 has just had over GBP 4500 spent during August 2016 at Century Classics in Berkshire. All the work carried out is all listed on the invoice in the cars file. The van is in great condition and has a very rare rear seat conversion, we have just ordered a new carpet set although the original rubber mat is still with the vehicle. The van is MoT'd through to July 2017 and has no advisories. Very solid with good paintwork and original interior. This A35 is a very presentable usable van, with a very good engine bay and load area. The whole concept of purchasing a light commercial for private classic motoring combined with its advertising potential is one we have enjoyed for many years and proved to be an enormous success. Without doubt the most economical and successful form of advertising known to man! On test drive the van performed very well with no faults. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended. Delivery can be arranged.
1955 Standard Eight De Luxe. Blue with red leather upholstery. To keep prices down, the car at launch was very basic with sliding windows, single windscreen wiper and no external boot lid. Access to the boot was by folding down the rear seat, which had the backrest divided in two. The 1954 De luxe got wind up windows and the Gold Star model of 1957 an opening boot lid. From mid-1955 all the Eights finally got wind up windows. At launch the car cost GBP 481 including taxes on the home market. This 1955 Standard 8 has been with its last owner since 2001, and during that time has undergone a body and paint restoration and been fitted with a fully rebuilt, more powerful, 948cc Standard 10 engine and a new differential. The seating and door cards are original, however, the carpets and headlining have been replaced. The history folder contains some bills, invoices and old MoT's and also the original buff log book and instruction book. This is a smart little “Eight” with a lovely patina and would make a great entry level classic. The fact that they are eligible for various historic motor sport events has meant that sound cars are now being eagerly sought after. The car drives without fault and starts on the button. A new MOT will be applied upon sale. Viewing is highly recommended. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged.
The Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr 6, but differed considerably from that model by the limousine-type rear doors, sharper roofline (with narrower C-pillar) and tail, unique grille (four headlights instead of two), exclusive bumper bars, plusher seating, and up-market upholstery, dashboard and interior fittings. A choice of individual or bench front seat was available trimmed in leather or cloth. The front doors and bonnet panels were shared with the Zephyr 6. The Executive version had extra luxury fittings again. The 2553 cc single-carburettor six-cylinder engine was improved internally to increase the power output to 109 bhp and a new four-speed all synchromesh transmission with column change was fitted. The brakes, servo assisted, use discs at the front and drum at the rear. This particular car is a 1963 Ford Zodiac MK III Automatic. Ermine white with red roof and red upholstery. This Zodiac has recently had lots of money spent which includes an engine rebuild in August of this year, also during August the differential had new seals, the carburetor overhauled and the gearbox serviced. The car comes complete with a large history file including copies of the original log book, bills, invoices and old MoT certificates. The MoT's date back to 1975 when the recorded mileage was 13,730. On test drive the car performed without fault and starts on the button every time. This Zodiac stands out with it beautiful lines and turns heads wherever it goes. The paintwork is very bright and presentable but not a show winner with some age related marks, however having said this it is very usable and certainly not scruffy. A new MOT has just been applied. Viewing is highly recommended. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged.
