  • FORD MODEL A Coupe Cabriolet 1930

    £19,995

1930 Ford Model A Coupe Cabriolet. Yellow and Black with black upholstery and a black hood. Promoted by Ford as combining `the smart, youthful style of the Roadster and the snug, all-weather comfort of the Coupe', the Convertible Cabriolet's premium price tag meant that it accounted for just 1.25% of Model A production. Sub-contracted to the Briggs Manufacturing Company, its Type 68 coachwork featured an opening windscreen, easy-fold soft-top, dickey seat and wind-up windows. Belonging to Charles Streett of Maryland for twenty-eight years before arriving in the U.K. during November 2013, chassis A3281294 was sourced by the previous owner for use at his French holiday home. Authenticated by Andy MacLean of the Ford Model A Club of GB and subsequently UK road registered, `BF 6788' presents as an older restoration. The car drives very well and tracks particularly true for a Model A, it sports an alternator and rides on new tyres. Very seldom do these models come to market, this rare Ford is accompanied by a Maryland Certificate of Title, Instruction Book and Parts List. Due to age now both MOT and tax exempt. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended and we know you won't be disappointed. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. • TRIUMPH HERALD Standard Eight 1955

    £3,995

1955 Standard Eight De Luxe. Blue with red leather upholstery. To keep prices down, the car at launch was very basic with sliding windows, single windscreen wiper and no external boot lid. Access to the boot was by folding down the rear seat, which had the backrest divided in two. The 1954 De luxe got wind up windows and the Gold Star model of 1957 an opening boot lid. From mid-1955 all the Eights finally got wind up windows. At launch the car cost GBP 481 including taxes on the home market. This 1955 Standard 8 has been with its last owner since 2001, and during that time has undergone a body and paint restoration and been fitted with a fully rebuilt, more powerful, 948cc Standard 10 engine and a new differential. The seating and door cards are original, however, the carpets and headlining have been replaced. The history folder contains some bills, invoices and old MoT's and also the original buff log book and instruction book. This is a smart little “Eight” with a lovely patina and would make a great entry level classic. The fact that they are eligible for various historic motor sport events has meant that sound cars are now being eagerly sought after. The car drives without fault and starts on the button. A new MOT will be applied upon sale. Viewing is highly recommended. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information.
