1948-1954 SUNBEAM-TALBOT 90 specifications

1948-1954 SUNBEAM-TALBOT 90 specifications Classic and Performance Car

With an uninspiring suspension set-up comprising of a beam-axle front and semi-elliptic springs all round, the Sunbeam-Talbot 90 shouldn’t have been memorable to drive, and certainly not worthy of the great marque. However, its reasonably powerful 2-litre overhead valve engine upfront produced enough grunt to allow the well set-up chassis to entertain its driver. The MkII of 1950 was a much better effort thanks to its chassis with coils and wishbone suspension, a fact proved in rallying, where the car did rather well.
