Chassis number: 16729 Registration number: SV8089 A fantastic historic race car eligible for numerous classic racing events. Since the year 2000 the car has been entered and run at the following circuits: Silverstone, Donnington, Oulton Park, The Le Mans Classic, Montelhery, Dijon, Spa, Nurbugring, Porto and in the U.S.A. Laguna Seca, Elkart Lake and Lime Rock. The car was also a regular and very successful participant in Duncan Wiltshire’s Sporting Legend series which ran up until 2011. The car has L6 Stutz chassis number 16729 made in 1929 together with the original front and rear axle suspension steering and brake assemblies. The rear axle has been modified removing the original worm drive and replacing it with a standard pre war crown wheel and pinion allowing various ratios and fitted with quaiffe half shafts. The original Stutz hydraulic brakes are retained but with twin master cylinders and a balance bar and the brake drums are of Baynton Jones manufacture from a solid steel billet fitted with an aluminium back plate for heat dissipation. The hubs are all rudge and the wheels to suit the 19” Dunlop racing tyres are of modern lightweight construction. The engine number 90556
