1976-1971 SKODA Estelle 105/120 specifications

Skoda’s MB1000 replacement was supposed to have front-wheel drive, and had the Estelle received the drivetrain it deserved, it may have been better received in the west. As it was, it ended up becoming the butt of countless bar-room jokes thanks to its total lack of desirability. On its first road tests, the Estelle’s alarming handling at the limit was exposed, forcing the company to re-evaluate its all-independent suspension and steering set-ups. Became a big UK seller during the ‘80s, and an unexpected rallying hero. Prices on the rise, but limited classic appeal.
