1967-1973 ROVER P5B specifications Classic and Performance Car

-

The P5 was continuously developed during its life, first with the arrival of the more powerful ‘Weslake Head’ version, and then with the arrival of the handsome coupé. However, the most exciting addition to the P5 range came in 1967, when the new ex-Buick V8 engine was squeezed under the bonnet to create the P5B. The gutsy new engine immediately improved performance, and economy too, although the appealing straight-six soundtrack had been replaced by a charismatic V8 rumble. For many, this was Rover’s high watermark, never to be topped.Prices given are for saloons, add a further 25% for Coupes.
