1949-1959 ROVER P4 75 Cyclops specifications

1949-1959 ROVER P4 75 Cyclops specifications Classic and Performance Car

With the exciting new P4, Rover wiped its pre-war slate clean and presented a confident US inspired – if rather upright – façade for the 1950s. The original P4 ‘Cyclops’ model may have shared its chassis and engines with the P3, but it appeared radically different, its most striking feature being the centrally-mounted headlight in the radiator grille, hence the nickname. Power was supplied by a 2.1-litre straight-six engine noted for its smoothness, allied to a four-speed column shift manual transmission.
