In stock now is this rare and unusual Rinspeed Porsche 911 Turbo. First registered in February 1980 by JCT600 Porsche Centre Leeds the car started life as a 911 3.3 Turbo and has covered just 67335 miles from one family owning it from new. Going to the Swiss tuning house Rinspeed the car was treated to their Porsche R69 conversion including wide Testarossa style side strakes, flatnose with pop up headlights and redesigned rear end. Inside is the period tartan and leather interior complete with cassette player. This really sums up the excesses of the 80s. The car has been looked after by Official Porsche Centres from new, all but two services being by the supplying dealer, JCT600, the other two by Parker and Parker, the Porsche centre for Kendal in the Lake District. In 2014 the car has had an engine rebuild with new studs and the turbo reconditioned, all by Porsche Centre Leeds, at a combined cost of £10213.63 including VAT. Whilst it won't be to everyone's taste it is an important part of the colourful history of Porsche tuners and typifies 80s excess.
