Ultimate Porsche 964 collection to be auctioned at Amelia Island Classic and Performance Car

A collection of different Porsche 946 variants, from Carrera RSR 3.8 to a Turbo S ‘Leichtbau’ will be offered by RM Sotheby’s at the Amelia Island auctions.


RM Sotheby’s has announced that a collection of 11 special Porsche 964-generation 911 variants will be offered at the its Amelia Island Auctions on 10 March. 
 
Coming from a single owner, who has built up this impressive collection over the last decade, includes prime examples of almost every ‘special’ 964 variant. That means low-volume and special order cars cars like the Carrera RSR 3.8, Turbo S ‘Leichtbau’, Turbo S X85 ‘Flachbau’. 
 
There are no basic Carrera versions, with the most humble being exceptional examples of the Speedster, Carrera RS and Carrera RS America models. 
 
Here’s a rundown of what will be heading to auction:
