The 2.4 911s are the final iteration of the classic early 911 shape and the improved power and handling over the earlier cars makes them perhaps the most desirable. There were always three models in the 2.4 line up; the carburettor fed T and fuel injected E and S. The European T’s stayed like this but the US market later got a fuel-injected T now known as the T-E. The last of the 2.4 T’s produced for the US market were fitted with a new Bosch K-Jetronic continuous injection system (producing 140BHP) as demonstrated by this Targa on offer. Porsche since their humble beginnings have always produced a Targa variant of the 911, a tradition that is still adhered to. The Targa brought an open top roof driving experience to the early 911 range creating a versatile sports car perfect for those long summer days. First registered on the 1st of March 1973 this left hand drive 2.4T Targa was supplied new into the US. This is confirmed by its original maintenance record book showing the supplying dealer Salt Lake City Utah.
