Silverstone auctions will once again offer a selection of modern and classic Porsches in its sale dedicated to the German marque.
Heading towards the end of the year, Silverstone Auctions’ is holding a single-marque sale, focused purely on offering a classic and modern Porsches – with over 50 of the Stuttgart-built performance cars heading under the hammer. Taking place at the Silverstone Wing building on 15 October, it’s the auction house’s penultimate sale of the year.
Held in conjunction with Porsche Club GB, the preview evening on 14 October will see racing legend Derek Bell will be joining Silverstone Auctions and Porsche Club GB at the preview evening, giving a talk on his life and career and answering questions from visitors.
As you would expect, there are Porsches of all type featured in the sale, from air-cooled 911s, early Boxsters and 968s right through to a stunning Carrera GT and various GT3 and GT2 Porsches.
Highlights include a UK delivered, right-hand drive 1986 930 Flatnose that has covered just 21,000 miles from new – estimated at between £100,000 and £120,000. Other highlights include a 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo with just 24,000 miles from new (estimated at £135,000-£155,000), while a show winning 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S is estimated at between £35,000 and £40,000.
