Lego has recreated the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in an extremely detailed 2700-piece Technic kit form
If you’re a fan of Porsches, and enjoy a technical challenge, then the 2700-piece Lego Technic kit of the 2016 Porsche 991 GT3 RS is probably the ultimate Birthday gift. Lego created the extremely detailed kit in conjunction with Porsche AG, and it will go on sale by 1 June for £299.00.
With a recommended building age of 16+, this is certainly not as child friendly as the hugely successful the Ferrari F40 Lego kit
that was launched last year. This model features a massive amount of detail, and is roughly 1:8 scale when complete.
Externally, the model looks impressively intricate, even sporting the correct shade of orange paint. The model also features unique RS alloy wheels, complete with low profile tyres. There are detailed headlights and taillights, and the rear wing is fully adjustable.
Delve deeper into the inner workings, and you will find an opening rear engine cover, which houses a detailed flat six engine – complete with moving pistons. Lego also describes the steering and gearbox as working, along with detailed brake calipers and red suspension springs.
Inside, the car features a fully detailed interior. This includes the RS racing seats, as well as an opening glovebox, with a unique serial number in each one. Each kit also comes with a special collector’s book chronicling the history of Lego Technic and Porsche GT cars. Take a look at the real Porsche 911s for sale in the classifieds
