1978-1983 PORSCHE 911 SC 3.0 specificationshttp://www.classicandperformancecar.comClassic and Performance CarClassic and Performance Car
Gaining the three-litre block from last season’s Turbo, the SC becomes Porsche’s sole non-turbo 911, though a lengthy options list ensures enough variety. Cast alloy 15in wheels are standard, with forged 16in rims optional as is the Sport option of a Turbo rear spoiler. Power grew quickly from the original 180bhp to 188bhp for the 1980 model year and 204bhp just a year later, though with improvements in economy. From 1982 the Coupé and Targa are joined by a Cabriolet model, Porsche’s first full convertible since the 356. Unusually, these only command a small premium.
