German marque to sell just 25 examples of the 911 GTS 'Rennsport Reunion Edition' in the USA
Porsche has unveiled its latest limited edition 911, in the form of the Carerra GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition.
The car comes with a number of additional exterior and interior options compared to the standard Carerra GTS, with just 25 examples of the car set to be built.
Porsche unveiled the Rennsport Reunion Edition at the latest running of the reunion this year (September 25-27). The event takes place every year at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to celebrate Porsche’s extensive motorsport involvement both past and present.
Like the latest variation of the standard Carerra GTS, the car is available with Porsche’s 430bhp 3.8-litre flat-six, and seven-speed manual transmission. 0-60mpg is dealt with in 4.2 secs, while flat-out it'll do 190mph.
Paying tribute to the brand’s sporting credentials, the Rennsport Reunion Edition is offered with a grey, black and red colour scheme both inside and out. Added to the equation is a number of black and red decals, which line the hood, roof, spoiler and doors; the latter adorning Porsche lettering. The Rennsport sits on a set of 20-inch rims, which for the benefit of Porsche’s latest limited edition car come painted in high-gloss black.
Interior changes are also present, with the car’s logo appearing across the carbon fibre dashboard and along the door-sills. Additional red stitching has been applied to the seating, dashboard trim, floor mats and steering wheel, with the ‘GTS’ logo embroiled on the head-rest.
The 25 cars that are planned for production will be sold exclusively in North America, with orders being taken immediately. The car carries a price-tag of $149,330.
The Rennsport Reunion is the biggest annual collection of Porsche’s on earth, and celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2015, with over 57,000 attending the event in Monterey.
