The 911 GT3 re-imagined the fast road-going Porsche for the 21st century
Not only one of the great Porsches, but simply one of the finest driver’s cars of all time. The GT3 was very different to any other 996-gen 911, from its dry-sump ‘Mezger’ flat-six, derived from the unit used in the 962 race-car, to its lower, stiffer suspension, huge cross-drilled discs, extreme aero and stripped-out interior. A ‘Clubsport’ package included race-style buckets and a half roll-cage. The later GT3 RS commands higher prices but the 'regular' GT3 itself is a surefire investment. Beware look-alike imposters.
