1966-1973 PORSCHE 911 S specifications

1966-1973 PORSCHE 911 S specifications Classic and Performance Car

This is the hot one, ready for competition use thanks to forged alloy pistons and wheels, plus vented disc brakes. Output starts at 160bhp, then grows to 170bhp with the 1969 introduction of fuel injection. The following year there’s another 10bhp to go with the new 2.2-litre engine capacity, and then we finally arrive at 190bhp with the 2.4-litre ‘S’ for the 1972 model year. As with the slightly less sporty 911s, both coupé and Targa versions are offered. Pre-1968 short-wheelbase cars are the most sought after by collectors, but the later ones are most fun.
