1964-1967 PORSCHE 911 2.0 specifications

1964-1967 PORSCHE 911 2.0 specifications Classic and Performance Car

As the 911 legend has grown, so desire for the pure original short-wheelbase version of Porsche’s concept has increased with it. The flat-six engine is only a two-litre, but it’s a highly tuned one wearing overhead cams and two triple-choke carbs, Solexes on early car, then Webers from early 1966. Within months of production starting, a 911 came fifth in the Monte Carlo Rally, and these cars are still being successfully campaigned in historic events. Semi-convertible Targa version launched in early 1967, but despite their relative rarity no price premium is attached.
