1966 Porsche 911 SWB

car description

POA Launched in 1964 the new Porsche 911 was developed as a more powerful, larger and more comfortable replacement for the outgoing 356C. Its 2.0 litre flat six engine offered new owners a significant power hike over the 356 s 90hp up to 130hp which when mated to the new 901 5 speed transmission new levels of performance. Other standard equipment on the new model included ZF rack and pinion steering, a 13mm front anti-roll bar and four-wheel disc brakes. These early vehicle known as O series cars remained essentially unchanged from 1965 through to 1968 when for the 1969 model year Porsche increased the wheelbase by 2.4 to improve the handling. Widely recognised as the purest 911 ever produced these early cars have become very desirable with good examples becoming increasingly difficult to source. We have the pleasure of being able to offer this wonderful 1966 car which will not only afford the new owner a rewarding driving experience but will also a very safe investment opportunity. Chassis No. 306935 rolled off the production line on the 12.12.1966. The original cardex of which a copy is included in the history file also states the car was specified with a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio
