1969-1983 PEUGEOT 504 Coupé specifications

The same Peugeot/Pininfarina recipe used for the 404 Coupé was used once again for its replacement, which hit the road in 1969. With an all-new body on a slightly shortened 504 platform, the 504 Coupé combined the excellent road manners of this no-nonsense French saloon with a healthy dose of glamorous Italian style. The top of the range version was treated to a PRV Peugeot-Renault V6 (the same engine that saw service in the DeLorean DMC-12 and Alpine A310 V6) in 1974, creating easily the company’s most desirable car of the period.
