1972-1988 PEUGEOT 104 specifications

1972-1988 PEUGEOT 104 specifications Classic and Performance Car

An excellent and oft-overlooked baby car, the Peugeot 104 combined front-wheel drive and supple suspension to prove that small cars didn’t need to be a compromise. It was launched as a four-door, and would have to wait four more years to gain the hatchback its two-box body was crying out for. The ‘Douvrin’ engine that powered the 104 was shared with Renault and Citroën, and its underpinnings went on to find fame in the Citroën Visa, Talbot Samba and – with modifications – the Peugeot 205. It’s a thinking person’s supermini that’s rare, but affordable.
