1974-1985 PANTHER De Ville specifications

As if the J72 wasn’t enough, Panther then came up with the De Ville in 1974. Fittingly, the character of Cruella DeVil drove one in Disney’s 102 Dalmations. Inspired by the Bugatti Royale, the enormous bonnet hid Jaguar six-cylinder or V12 engines and there were also Jaguar XJ subframes back and front. The wealthy celebrities who bought the De Ville might have been less impressed by the saloon doors coming from an Austin Maxi or the convertibles having MGB ones. Elton John bought a De Ville in 1977. Enough said?
