The car then went into storage for around ten years. ;;This lovely Stag is currently going recommissioning process in our workshop, so far we have fitted recondioned wheels, checked the brakes, etc. We then sent the car to a local Stag specialst upholster who fitted a reconditioned hood frame, a new bespoke hood (far better fit then rimmer type ones) and he has fitted new bolsters to the from seats and generally given the trim a new sense of life. 1970 Jaguar E-type Roadster - Just landed from Texas - NOVA Certificate (tax paid);;This car was purchased brand new at Snuffy Smith Motor Co in Dallas TX, By Mr. Burley R Horn who drove the car up until 1973 when subsequently offering it to his son.;;This car has been in one family in Texas its entire life, and has wonderful history, Pat recently decided to sell rather than just letting it sit. Still retaining its original Texas License Plates! Very rare.;;The car itself:;;This roadster is numbers matching, and also has factory A.C. The car is a restoration project. ;;The body is straight and panel gap and fit is very good, the doors, boot and bonnet open and close with solid operation. If you look at the pictures you can see the underside of the doors, boot and bonnet are also solid. The trailing arm mounts are very solid, the spare tire area is solid, as well as the bonnet hinges. Under to bonnet its totally unmolested, the most original project I've seen for along time. The bulkhead is in great condition, everything looks original. I have made no effort to start the engine, I have done a anything, simple rolled the car off the transporter. ;;This will require new floor and sill sections before the repaint.;;The interior is obviously going to need work consistent with a car that has been sitting for a lengthy amount of time.;;The original colour is light blue, and shows behind the door panels as well.;;Please review the photos and documentation.;;Heritage certificate applied for.;;Unlike certain unscrupulous Ebay sellers in the US I have photographed the good and the bad, if you study the photos you will have a very good idea of what you need to do to restore this into a GBP 100000 classic investment. Everything is paid and the car is available now without a 10-14 week delay. It takes up to 5 weeks for them to load the vehicles before they even set sail.;;Will ship world wide.
This is a Autotune XK140 Aristocat.;;Built with Jaguars written permission, the Aristocat uses all Jaguar XJ6, components housed in a steel spaceframe chassis. For ease of build the Aristocat uses the XJ series suspension un-modified, resulting in the car being five inches wider than the XK140, but only one inch wider than the XK150. The additional width, let in down the centre of the car, allows for a more spacious cockpit and boot than the originals and drivers of well over six feet can be easily accommodated.;;The Aristocats blend of classic looks with modern mechanical components produces a very capable vehicle, the original prototype being timed by a member of the media at 0-60 MPH in six seconds and a top speed of over 150 MPH.;;;The original owner of this project has completed around 60% of the build, which he has done to a very high standard.;;The chassis is complete, all the suspension, brake, steering, drive train and engine installation are complete. Bolt a seat on the chassis and you could drive it. The body is not bolted to the chassis hence the door gaps are not correct at present.;;Please see the price list within the pictures, this kit with all the extras cost over GBP 12000, add to that the cost of the doner vehicle, this is worth over GBP 13000 before you factor in the many man hours already put into this project. If you have enough time on your hands you could be driving this before the end of the summer. This needs hardly any parts to finish, just time.;;It comes compete with the doner V5 so you can register it. Also included is a file full of the build photos so far, which further demonstrate the quality of the workmanship. Plus the build manual. ;;Fantastic value project which will be worth GBP 20000-GBP 30000 depending on the level of finish you decide. Great summer project with all the hard work done, yet enough to do to leave your stamp on it.;;Picture number two is the parts price list from Aristocat, we believe we have selected the correct ones. Over 50 photos on my website. www.nuneatoncarsales.co.uk
