Variant name:V12 VOLANTE , The 2009 Geneva Auto Salon saw the introduction of the DBS Volante to complement the Coupe variant at the pinnacle of the Aston Martin range. The Volante featured a substantially stiffer version of the bonded aluminium VH chassis to produce the ultimate in convertible Grand Tourers. Variant name:SPORTS COUPE , Launched in 1958, the all new Aston Martin DB4 received widespread global acclaim for its overall performance and style. The first Aston Martin to be fully manufactured at the Newport Pagnell factory, the DB4 included iconic styling by Touring, Superleggera construction as well as the all-new 3.7 straight six twin cam engine. During the five years of production, the DB4 evolved with subtle body changes before production ceased in 1963. The stunning Series II example we are delighted to offer, is one of just 349 built. The Series II featured many considerable mechanical improvements over earlier cars but retained a number of widely appreciated design features, such as the mesh grille, pronounced bonnet scoop, subtly arched rear wing profile and ‘cathedral’ rear light clusters. All features of the original design, which was lost on the later models. Built in June 1960, Chassis #355 was finished in Sea Green with Black Connolly hides and supplied to its first Cumbrian owner my Aston Martin agents, Mill Garages. By 1985 its then owner embarked a thorough restoration of the car, being returned to its former glory, at great expense, by highly skilled and recognised specialists. The cars condition as presented today is testament to the quality of works undertaken and subsequent ownership. Having covered just 20,000 miles since restoration, the car is in excellent condition throughout, having been serviced regularly and maintained by recognised Aston Martin specialists. The coachwork and Green paintwork, presents extremely well, with only minimal evidence of its limited road use and the interior retains its original quality black Connolly hides with only light patination. Variant name:ZAGATO , During 2002, Aston Martin reignited its 40 year relationship, with the Italian styling house Zagato to produce, a limited number of DB7 Vantage Zagato Coupe’s. Such was the appetite, that after the factories announcement over 300 hundred applicants applied, for one of the 99 cars to be produced. Built on a shortened wheelbase chassis, unique to this model and fitted with the DB7 GT V12 engine and 6 speed manual transmission, with uprated suspension and brakes the GT Zagato, delivered a fully focused yet relaxed driving experience for the lucky few. The DB7 Zagatos unique and distinctive body styling, includes the wide and deep front grille and signature Zagato ‘Double Bubble’ roof line synonymous with Zagato’s previous masterpieces. With unique interiors trimmed in luxurious aniline hides and finishers the cars were individually built to clients specifications. All 99 cars were built and delivered by 2003, before DB7 Vantage production ceased. This superbly specified example, number 72 of the 99 produced, is in excellent condition having covered just 14,800 miles in total. Attractively finished in Chiltern Green with Bitter Chocolate analine hides and coordinated interior finishers. Previously supplied and maintained by Nicholas Mee & Company in 2012, the car is in excellent order throughout and ready to be enjoyed or grace any collection. A class winning 'Salon Privé' Concours car, its originally supplied accessories, including the numbered DB7 Zagato owner’s manual, DB7 Zagato owners book, leather ‘ bomber’ jacket and protective interior and exterior covers, are included in the sale. Built between 1986 and 1989, the Series 5 V8s were equipped with electronic sequential fuel injection, in preference to carburettors, delivering a smoother and more fuel efficient power package rated at 310bhp. Presented in its original colour combination of Goodwood Green with Natural Connolly (VM856) hides, This matching numbers car features a 4.2 Litre R.S Williams Vantage engine with triple Webber Carburettors driving through a 5 Speed ZF manual transmission. Built in 1966, DB6/2612/R was delivered to its first owner, Mr. Lionel Frank of London in 1967 before being bought by a Mr. Robert F. Snodgrass of Jacksonville, Florida in May 1983. While in Florida, the car featured in the Antique Automobile Club of America’s Concours d’Elegance, held in Orange Park, Florida, securing the overall victory in the sports car class in 1986. The car was repatriated in 1987 when it was bought by a Mr Peter Bennett of Cheshire. In 1993, a Mr Phillip Guy instructed a senior figure at Aston Martin to source the best DB6 that he could find. DB6/2612/R was that car and it was duly acquired by Mr Guy, who maintained the car to an exceptionally high standard. Under his ownership, a great deal of work was completed by renowned Aston Martin specialists R.S. Williams. This included a £19,000 engine rebuild completed in 1998, during which it was bored out to 4.2 Litres. A substantial history folder which includes a copy of the original build sheet, MOT records dating back to the 1980’s, servicing and maintenance records An original DB6 instruction manual also accompanies the car.
