Nissan has launched the 2011 Nissan GT-R, and the thorough re-work of the Porsche-baiting supercar has brought a whole host of changes the table. Power has been boosted to 522bhp @6400rpm, with the 451lb ft of torque peaking between 3200 and 6000rpm. Some aerodynamic tweaks have brought the drag co-efficient down to 0.26 from 0.27, as well as adding about 10% more downforce.
Along with the minor aero tweaks and power hike, the 2011 car will come with a raft of new electronic modes that were missing from the old car. For starters the use of 'R mode' now includes launch control, giving you the quickest start every time. There's also a new system, known as SAVE, which has replaced 'Snow Mode' from the previous GT-R, in an effort to provide drivers with a usable economy mode.
Six exterior colours are available, including two new colours - Metallic Black, replacing solid Kuro Black and Daytona Blue replacing Titanium Grey. The new 'on the road' price will be £69,950, with a huge number of no-cost extras available.
