there is still a lot of interest in older TVRs and we hope this car will not only be competitive on track but showcase the style of a '60s sports car.
Midlands based race preparation business Classic World Racing (CWR) is close to completing the build of a race car based on a 1968 TVR Tuscan. The model was shortlived due to supply issues of the 4.7-litre Ford V8 engine and was ultimately re-styled and re-launched as the highly successful 3000M.

Among the CWR team is ex TVR competition manager Chris Schirle who worked under the late Peter Wheeler between 1982 and '87 and was instrumental in designing the ground breaking 450 SEAC wedge car. Since leaving TVR, Schirle has built many successful Classic TVRs for FiA Historic racing and continues to apply his experience to classic competition cars.

CWR MD Mike Luck said: 'there is still a lot of interest in older TVRs and we hope this car will not only be competitive on track but showcase the style of a '60s sports car.' The race car will be the centrepiece of CWR’s stand at Race Retro where they will also expand on their evaluation of producing their own version for the road.
