Widely regarded as the most raced car of all time, the ERA R5B Remus hits the market place, with Duncan Hamilton's having the job of finding this world famous car its next owner.
With well over 100 victories to its credit, Remus was built in 1935 on behalf of Prince Chula's 'White Mouse' racing team for Prince B Bira to drive. The young prince demonstrated the car's immense pace by winning the Albi Grand Prix. From there, it passed into the hands of Tony Rolt, who successfully campaigned it into 1939, with his memorable victory in the British Empire Trophy providing the season's highlight.
Post-War owners have included the late Duncan Hamilton and the Honorable Patrick Lindsay, in whose family it has remained since 1959.
