Daft name, great car?

BMW's aggressively-styled roadster gets more muscle...

The additional power has been found via a mild reworking of the current flagship's twin-turbo 3-litre straight-six. The numbers stack up: the top speed is limited to 155mph, while the marketing man's favourite 0-60mph time is 4.8 seconds
It could be argued that the BMW Z4 doesn't need more power, but BMW has gone and boosted it, anyway. The faintly madly named sDrive35is is set to hit the streets in the spring, and with 335bhp on tap it should give the Porsche Cayman a real run for its money - in truth, it's M-Sport version that BMW promised it would never build.

The additional power has been found via a mild reworking of the current flagship's twin-turbo 3-litre straight-six. The numbers of the new car certainly stack up: the top speed is - as always - limited to 155mph, while the marketing man's favourite 0-60mph time is despatched in 4.8 seconds. In terms of how green it is, we'd say it is given its performance: 31.4mpg (combined) and 210g/km.

Launch price is £43,885, and included is a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission, sports exhaust specifically tuned for an improved soundtrack, adaptive M Sport suspension, and a new aerodynamic M Sport bodykit - which can be specified on all Z4 models.
