After months of speculation, Maranello has revealed the mid-engined V8 replacement for the Ferrari F430. The
all-new Ferrari 458 Italia won't be shown in public until the Frankfurt Motor Show,
but the official details make exciting reading, while the computer rendered images hint at a very pretty body.
It's powered by a new
direct-injected 4.5-litre V8 that developed 562bhp and 398lb ft of torque. The new car also employs a KERS system similar to that used in F1 (ironic as Ferrari will not use it from next year) and is said to top 200mph – making it the first 'volume' Ferrari to do so...
