Here's a good example of the appliance of science: RA's new DBR2 takes modern construction and engineering methods and combines them with the styling of the drop-dead gorgeous Aston Martin DBR2.
At the heart of the DBR2 is a carbonfibre tub combined with an aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis that weighs a mere 100kg. This base is then clothed with carbonfibre body panels lined with fire-proof (and light) Nomex.
The cars are built to order and customers get a choice of engines: a Jaguar-derived in-line-six and V12 engines or a Corvette LS3 V8.
