At 4pm on the June 21, 1959, the Aston Martin DBR1 of Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby crossed the finishing line to take victory at Le Mans, heading a 1-2 finish for the British team after 24 hours of racing.
Graham Turner's latest painting shows Roy Salvadori in the winning car, leading the Phil Hill/Olivier Gendebien Ferrari Testa Rossa at Tertre Rouge corner on Sunday morning. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Aston Martin's famous victory, Studio 88 have published this evocative painting as a Limited Edition Giclée print, LIMITED TO 100 COPIES ONLY, the first 20 of which are reproduced on canvas just like the original oil painting.
