To honour the 40th anniversary of Matra's first endurance victory, this year's Le Mans 24 Hours pre-race parade will feature three race-winning Matras - driven by the men who first took them to the top of the podium.
Henri Pescarolo drove the Matra MS670 to first place overall at Le Mans in 1972, sharing his victory with British Formula 1 star and co-driver Graham Hill. Pescarolo went on to win the race two more times in '73 and '74, partnered with Gérard Larrousse. Both Larrousse and Pescarolo will drive in the Parade, but the third driver - taking the place of Hill - has yet to be announced.
Fabrice Bourrigaud, marketing and communications director of organiser ACO said: 'We wanted to give a small gift to Henri Pescarolo.
