Three out of four for Button

Brawn GP takes a well deserved victory and makes it three out of four for Jenson Button

Jenson Button has won three of the first four races of 2009

Jenson Button has won three of the first four races of 2009

This race win for us is probably the best out of the lot. The whole team should be very proud of themselves. They have worked so hard.
For the fourth Grand Prix of the season - and the first that wasn't affected by wet weather or safety cars - it looks like the opposition has closed the gap to Brawn GP, with Red Bull, especially, snapping at the team. Victory came to Jenson Button, but he had to fight for it - light running Toyota locked out the front row, and Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel.

McLaren and Ferrari are now moving in the right direction, with Lewis Hamilton finishing fourth on genuine pace, and Kimi Raikkonen winning the Scuderia's first points of the season. KERS seems to be working for these teams, especially for McLaren, as the system allowed Hamilton to use his 80bhp on demand to vault a couple of places from the start.

The other big news of the race was BMW's utter lack of pace - with Robert Kubica finishing last of all the classified runners.

Jenson Button summed up Brawn GP's excellent result by saying, 'This race win for us is probably the best out of the lot. The whole team should be very proud of themselves. They have worked so hard.'

The next Grand Prix, in Spain, takes place on May 10, and should see further aerodynamic parity, as the rest of the field starts to roll out Brawn-style rear diffusers.
