Offered along side the Toleman TG104-2 - Senna's first F1 podium-scoring car - this Ralt RT3 is perhaps slightly less recognisable, but a young Ayrton Senna piloted the single-seater to an impressive win at Thruxton during a non-championship race at the end of the 1982 Formula 3 season.
Following this win, the young Brazilian went on to win the Formula 3 championship in 1983, which in turn led to his seat in F1 at Toleman the next year. This particular RT3 actually finished the '82 season in second place overall, driven by Enrique Mansilla, racing for West Surrey Racing.
The car comes with full FIA papers, and is ready to race - with a place already confirmed in the the 2012 Monaco Historic Grand Prix. Having recently undergone a complete £75,000 restoration, it is estimated to sell between £110,000 to £125,000.
Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said: 'To obtain one ex-Ayrton Senna race car for auction is amazing but to acquire a second is a real coup. The Spring Sale is shaping up to be one of our most exciting events yet, and promises to be a must attend auction for any serious motor sport enthusiast or classic car collector.'
