NO fewer than 1200 cars are set to go under the hammer here, including the one-off 1938 Packard V12 Landaulet (above), custom-built by Rollston for tobacco heiress Doris Duke. Once named ‘the richest little girl in the world’ after being left a fortune by her father, James Duke of American Tobacco, she was regularly seen being chauffeur-driven in the car from Hillsborough, New Jersey, to her mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.

Recently restored to show-quality condition and emblazoned with the initials ‘DD’ after its first owner, this stunning Packard is a great candidate for the world’s best classic car events.
