It’s Race Retro time again, and H&H has once more worked hard to produce a suitably competition-heavy lot list for this popular motor sport show.
Heading the auction are a 1959 Austin-Healey 3000 Bulldog (£250,000-300,000) and a 1951 Allard J2X (£250,000-325,000), but we thought we’d concentrate on this ex-works David Price Racing 1980 Rover SD1 V8S Group 2 racer, as campaigned by Jeff Allam and Tiff Needell. The car was extensively restored in 1996-97 (explaining the out-of-period bumpers and tailgate), and is now powered by a 380bhp TVR Tuscan V8. It’s ready to go, with a top estimate of £30,000.
