Three major private classic car collections and several British automotive icons of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s will be included in the Classic Car Auction of Toronto, 22-24 October 2010 at the International Centre of Mississauga, Ontario.
The event, hosted by industry veteran and Collector Car Productions founder Dan Spendick, is the largest of its kind in Canada, offering nearly a century of historic and special interest classics.
One of the auction’s highlights will be the sale of a treasured and rarely-seen collection from the estate of the late Frank Vasco, an Ontario pharmacist and avid car enthusiast: a relatively unknown collection of investment pre-war and post-war vehicles includes a very rare 1936 Ford V8 Cabriolet, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, a 1959 Jaguar XK150S Roadster and a magnificently restored 1947 Buick Super Convertible.
The second private collection includes an extremely rare and restored 1912 Ford Model T Speedster among other American and European classics, and the third features several Detroit-built “muscle cars”, classic pickup trucks and several Volkswagen Beetles.
In celebration of 75 years of Jaguar history, the Toronto event also includes the sale of several classic cats, such as a 1952 XK120 Super Sport Roadster and 1959 XK 150 ‘S’ Roadster plus inline six and V12 E-type Coupes and Roadsters.
More British classics of note being offered are a 1961 MGA 1600 Roadster, a 1963 Austin-Healy 3000 BJ7 Roadster, a 1974 Jensen-Healey Roadster, and even a right-hand-drive 1969 Triumph GT6 and a Belfast-built 1983 DeLorean DMC-12 (Canadian edition)!
Collector Car Productions is a privately held Canadian-based auction house dealing with acquisitions, sales and appraisals of quality collector cars in North America, and has links with American-based RM Auctions.
