There's a real British flavour at Gooding & Company's Pebble Beach sale...

Gooding & Company, the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, is offering an array of exceptional pre- and post-war Jaguars and pre-war Rolls-Royce Phantoms later this week at its Pebble Beach Auctions on Saturday 14 August and Sunday 15 August. 

Four of these British beauties include the Pebble Beach Best in Class-winning 1937 Jaguar SS100 3.5 Litre, a 1949 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster, a 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Torpedo Tourer formerly owned by the Ruling Chief of Nandgaon and Princesse Melikov’s 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Cabriolet de Ville.

These new star offerings join a long list of sparkling consignments for Gooding & Company’s auctions this year, which includes the 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza, the Marx Brothers’ 1928 Mercedes-Benz S Boattail, a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta SEFAC Hot Rod and a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione.

About the Gooding & Company Pebble Beach Auction

The 2010 Pebble Beach Auctions will be held at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. 

Preview days will start on Wednesday 11 August and will continue through Sunday 15 August. The auctions will commence at 5.00pm. on Saturday and 6.00pm. on Sunday. Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auction catalogues are available for $ 100 and admit two to the viewing and the auction.
