BONHAMS RETURNS TO Monaco for its 21st consecutive year. The event, to be held at the Musée des Voitures du Prince, boasts a strong line-up of Ferraris headed by a stunning 1950 166/195S Cabriolet by Vignale that’s expected to fetch around £900,000.
A very rare and sought-after alloy-bodied 1966 275GTB is estimated to fetch £615,000-760,000, and an early 1989 F40 that has raced in the Italian GT championship and the BPR series is expected to go for between £210,000-250,000. A rare 1976 glassfibre 308GTB is a car that’s rising in value, with a wide estimate of £45,000-72,000.
Among the other lots perfect for the Riviera are a black Porsche 356A Speedster in mint condition (£125,000-145,000) and a 365bhp 1971 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with hardtop (£32,000-36,000). Meanwhile, a competition-prepared CitroΫn SM Maserati that ran in the Tour Auto in 2009 is expected to fetch between £36,000 and £54,000.
Two beautifully presented former concours winners also feature: a European-delivery left-hand-drive Jaguar XK120 roadster (£67,700-104,000) and a Lancia Appia Zagato GTE (£45,000-63,000). Further Lancias include a rare 1968 Flaminia Super Sport, formerly the property of Rowan Atkinson (£108,000-135,000), a fourth-series Lancia B20 with full Nardi kit (£81,000-108,000), and a very rare and desirable Lancia Fulvia HF works car with San Remo-winning rally history.
No Monaco sale would be complete without a Fiat 500 Jolly, and this sale offers an original cabriolet in pink (£18,000-27,000).
