Sydney based CTS Auctions have announced one of the most spectacular line ups of cars ever to appear at auction in Australia at their debut December 5th event. Included in its 44 lot sale are two fabulous single owner collections; one comprising three exceptional historic racing cars and the other five vehicles from that most emotive of manufacturers, Lamborghini.

The racing cars include not only the 1975 Australian Sports Car winning Elfin MS7, but an ex BTCC Sierra Cosworth and the most exquisite little Lola T60 Formula 2 single seater with a fabulous European period competition history with drivers including Richard Attwood, Frank Gardener and Chris Amon among others.

As well as two Lamborghini Countachs, the Espada, Jalpa, and Diablo from the collection noted above, CTS Auctions will also be offering the rare 1968 Lamborghini Islero 2+2 Coupe on the same day making this the largest number of Lamborghini’s to ever be offered at auction in Australia to date.

There are also five exceptional V12 Ferrari’s including a very pretty recreation of a 1959 Testarossa, as well as an Aston Martin DB4 Series III in outstanding original condition with a fully documented history from new and just two collector owners in the last 20 years.

Lovers of early cars are not left out as with amongst others they will be offering a highly original 1925 Vauxhall 30-98 Velox Tourer and 1938 MG TA; a 1949 MG TC Supercharged Monoposto Racing Special and a 1949 HRG 1500cc Sports Tourer with competition history.

As well as the exotics and star cars noted above, the inaugural auction contains both motor cars and motorcycles of interest and significance right across the spectrum of buyers interests and budgets and is already quite possibly one of the most exciting arrays of vehicles ever to be brought to market at a single auction in Australia.

With Bonhams & Goodman closing their doors in December, the arrival of CTS Auctions is well timed and with such an interesting and diverse line up of cars for their first auction, the new firm look well placed to enter the top end of the Australian auction arena.
