The 14th Greenpower electric car racing finals will return to Goodwood on 14 October, where hundreds of young competitors will take to the circuit in an attempt to travel as far as possible on the least amount of energy.
All the cars in the event are built by the young competitors, who have to race in a Le Mans-style endurance race, using the power from just two sets of car batteries. The morning race is 90 minutes, with the afternoon stint running for four hours. Speedy pit stops are essential, to enable each of the five drivers in the team to take over for their stint on the track
The Greenpower Finals day is planned to be a family day out. As well as an exciting day of motor racing, there will be off-track entertainment, sustainable vehicle manufacturers, along with careers and education displays.
