When Graham hill won the F1 World Championship in 1962, he was the first British driver to do so in a British car – a Bourne-built BRM.
To pay respect the 50th anniversary of this magnificent victory, there are plans for the town of Bourne to host a celebratory event in the spirit of the 1999 BRM day, which honoured the the centenary of Raymond May’s birth, 50 years of BRM and 65 years of ERA. The event attracted huge numbers from around the world to the home of BRM, and it is hoped this year's event can be even bigger.
Many more attractions are planned and as these are finalised, details will be released over the coming months. Full details of the event are being presented at Race Retro on 23-25 February 2012 at stand D10, Hall 2.
