Many participants in tomorrow's start of the 2012 London-Cape Town World Cup Rally attended a training and briefing day at a hotel in Berkshire on Friday, where vital information for navigators was made available to those still nervous of the challenges ahead of them. Over 10,000 miles await the 44 crews, all to be completed inside the month of January.

All will be flagged away in order from outside the House of Lords as Big Ben strikes 7 o'clock on New Year's Day.
