More than 5300 people attended what has been hailed as the best Salon Privé ever. Having moved to its new home at Syon House, the spectacular event offered visitors more automotive brands, more luxury goods and more stunning concours cars and motorcycles than ever before.
With record numbers attending the event, expectations were high and Salon Privé certainly didn’t disappoint. Luxury brands in attendance were up by 200% while there were also 31% more automotive manufacturers exhibiting compared to last year.
Co-founder of the event, David Bagley, said: 'Syon House has worked wonderfully well for us. It has allowed us to develop the event and attract more brands, which has in turn created a more compelling showcase than ever before without diminishing the exclusive nature that makes Salon Privé so special.'
The world’s greatest supercar and luxury car manufacturers were out in force to wow visitors with an array of fabulous cars that are hard to see gathered together anywhere else in the world. Amongst many others, the likes of Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover were all present to show off their latest models. Indeed, Salon Privé proved once again to be the perfect platform for a large number of significant new UK car debuts, further adding to the exclusive nature of the event.
Now firmly established as a permanent fixture on the London social scene, Salon Privé caters for motoring enthusiasts as well as being a fashionable destination to simply spend time and relax in exquisite surroundings. Pommery Champagne, lobster luncheon, and traditional afternoon tea all add to the experience, whilst well-known luxury brands such as Audemars Piguet, Boodles and Vertu amongst many others, offered some fantastic non-automotive interest to visitors.
There was further excitement offered by the stunning Concours d’Elégance, presented in association with Chubb Insurance, which created a mouth-watering display of classic cars and motorcycles on its own dedicated lawn at the rear of the house. A ‘Quintessentially English’ themed collector car auction conducted by the world leading RM Auctions, completed what was a truly remarkable three-day event.
