Over 200 cars are entered for the Brooklands Sprint and the Driving Concours on 18-19 June, making it the biggest gathering of competing classic cars since before the war. Star of the show, this year, will be the Villa d’Este and Pebble Beach Concours Class winning 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Bertone Coupe, on its first UK outing.
Twelve classes of pre-war and post-war cars are to compete, ranging from the earliest cars of the Veteran era to a twelve-car throng of Jaguar E-types celebrating this iconic sports car’s 50th Anniversary.
The Grand Touring classes include coach-built Delahayes, sporty Lagondas, dashing Ferraris and glorious Aston Martins. Original pre-war Double Twelve cars will compete once again in the Historic Brooklands classes and on the Banking, Talbots and Lagondas head-to-head with Bentleys and Frazer-Nashes.
A class of Three Wheeled pre-war Morgans will be joined by their brand-new brother, the 2011 Morgan Three Wheeler.
Twelve small cars will compete against one another: Mini Coopers and Fiat 500s, as well as a Subaru and a Fiat 600 Multipla will fight for Best Looks as well as Best-to-Drive awards.
Brooklands is forecasting over 5000 people for the weekend
